Patrons at a country club’s restaurant intervened to stop the gunman, the authorities said. The mother of the man who was killed said he died trying to protect his family.
A nearby hotel served as a reunification center for restaurant patrons and wedding guests who were hastily evacuated from the country club in Nashua, N.H., after the shooting Saturday.
A 23-year-old was arrested and charged with murder after one person was killed and two more were wounded by gunfire. Officials said people dining at the club intervened to stop the shooter.
